장혁이 맡은 역은 택시 운전사 은설로 언제 심장박동이 멈출 줄 모르는 심장병을 앓고 있는 시한부 캐릭터. 겉으로 무뚝뚝하지만 생각이 깊고 따뜻한 인물이다. 은설은 입양아 메이(성유리)가 자신의 뿌리를 찾기 위한 여행에 동참했다가 인생에 희망을 발견하게 된다. 장혁은 성유리와 연기호흡을 맞추며 우정과 사랑을 잔잔히 펼쳐낼 계획이다.
장혁은 이번 배역으로 또 한번 연기변신에 도전한다. 군대를 제대하고 그동안 의사 사기꾼 도박꾼 등 다양한 캐릭터를 연기한 장혁은 이번에 시한부 환자 은설로 연기지평을 넓힐 계획이다. 영화 ‘토끼와 리저드’는 2004년 영화 ’치통’을 통해 프랑스에서 장편으로 데뷔한 주지홍 감독이 메가폰을 잡은 휴먼 멜로물. 영화 ‘토끼와 리저드’는 2월 중으로 촬영을 시작한다.
